Obituary – Maria Teresa Bustamante

Maria Teresa “Terry” Bustamante, 57, passed away in El Paso on Dec. 6, 2013. She was born in Fabens, on Oct. 27, 1956 and was raised in Van Horn. She moved to Sierra Blanca in 1980. Terry was employed by Hudspeth County as a detention officer for 24 years. She was a loving sister, and a caring mother figure for all her siblings, and she will be truly missed. She is survived by her father Joaquin Bustamante of El Paso, her five brothers: Joaquin “Hawk” Bustamante of Sierra Blanca, Peter Bustamante of Sierra Blanca, Javier Bustamante of Sierra Blanca, Jaime Bustamante of Horizon City, Marty Bustamante of Sierra Blanca. She is also survived by her five sisters: Guadalupe “Lupe” Bustamante of Van Horn, Janie Renteria of Fabens, Maria Ramirez of Tucson, Ariz., Lourdes Chavez of Sonora, Tex., and Alma Bustamante of Fabens. She was preceded in death by her mother Carolina Bustamante and her sisters Evangelina and Angelica Bustamante. A funeral mass was held on Dec. 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Van Horn and officiated by Father Miguel Angel Sanchez. A burial followed at Sierra Blanca Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jaime Bustamante, Harvey Bustamante, Marty Bustamante, Hawk Bustamante, Peter Bustamante, TJ Bustamante, Mario Ramirez, and Christopher Bustamante. Honorary pallbearers were: Marty Bustamante Jr, Matthew Bustamante, Alex Bustamante, Harvey Bustamante Jr, Adrian Bustamante, Nick Renteria, Joe De La Rosa, Cruz Mendez, Anthony Bustamante, and Roman Bustamante. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Carrillo Funeral Home of Van Horn
