Sales tax shows a 20-plus percent decline

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $907.6 million in local sales tax allocations for June, 31.5 percent more than in June 2020.

These allocations are based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.

According to state comptroller’s office, Van Horn saw a 25.79 percent decrease below June 2020.
