Van Horn is mourning the loss of one of its lifelong sons, Javier Mendoza, who lost his life last Tuesday morning in a tragic accident. Mr. Mendoza was a retired Border Patrol officer, Culberson County Commissioner for Precinct 1, and the owner of J-Break Liquor Store. No details of his funeral arrangements were available at press time.
