Many residents on Tuesday woke up without any water because of this primary water main leak on city property adjacent to the Love’s Truck Stop on East Broadway. The break in the water line happened shortly after 8 a.m., and city crews were quickly on the scene addressing the problem. According to Cuco Corrales, city utilities supervisor, the 2 1/2-foot water main crack affected businesses and residents west of Love’s to about Cypress Street and east of Hwy. 90. Mr. Corrales said the repair took about 4 1/2 hours to complete.
