The Lady Eagle volleyball team opened up district play on Tuesday against Fort Hancock in a wall to wall packed gym. The JV girls came out strong and took down the Mustangs in 3 sets. They fought to the very end and worked well as a team. The varsity lady Eagles came out strong and played very well in the second set, but in the end they fell short and dropped the match in 3 sets. The varsity Eagles are continuing to work hard and trying to mesh as a team. The girls are eagerly awaiting a rematch with the Mustangs on October 10th, as winning the district championship is weighing heavy on their minds.
